Formula Fantasy

Draft real F1 drivers. Race each other in iRacing. One league, two ways to win.

Formula Fantasy is Daze of Thunder's season-long competition for our private league, run alongside the real 2026 Formula 1 calendar. Draft real F1 drivers, then rack up points two ways: how they actually finish on Sundays, and how you finish against each other on the sim.

Four Championships

Driver's Championship
Your season Sim Racing points — how you stack up against the whole league behind the wheel in iRacing.
Fantasy Championship
Your season Fantasy F1 points — how your two drafted drivers actually perform on Sundays.
Constructors' Championship
You and your teammate's combined season Sim Racing points — pit crew pride on the line.
Overall Championship
Your combined seasonal Fantasy F1 and Sim Racing points — the ultimate Daze of Thunder title.

Every classified finisher scores under our own NASCAR-inspired scale — no cutoff at 10th like real F1. The win is worth the full grid size, then points drop by one per position, down to 1 point for last.

Same NASCAR-inspired shape, scaled to our own 10-person grid instead of F1's — every finisher scores, the win is worth 10 points, and points drop by one per position after a small bonus over 2nd place.

How It Works
1
Draft your drivers
At the start of the season, each member drafts 2 real F1 drivers in a live snake-order draft — pick order reverses every round, so nobody drafts twice in a row.
2
Draft your teammate as your constructor team
With an even 10-person league, everyone also pairs up with one teammate to form a two-person Constructor team — same idea as a real F1 team fielding two cars. Your team's combined Sim Racing results carry the Constructors' Championship, so who you're paired with matters as much as who you draft.
3
Score with Fantasy F1 points
Every real F1 race weekend, your two drafted drivers earn Fantasy F1 points based on how they actually finish — our own NASCAR-inspired scale, where every finisher scores, not just the top 10.
4
Race each other in iRacing
Members also go wheel-to-wheel in iRacing, with each event mapped to a round on the real F1 calendar — your on-track finishes earn Sim Racing points of their own.
5
Chase the championship
Fantasy F1 and Sim Racing points combine into one overall Daze of Thunder champion — plus standalone Fantasy, Sim Racing, and Constructors' standings.
